Max Ernst is may favorite mixed techniques artist.
Sitting in front of a white sheet of paper, my brain sometimes is as white as the paper itself. I don't see any reason for starting with any color or any shape. Nothing is there, nothing to be modified.
Sitting in front of a photo or in front of a newspaper, I see interesting things: Good things, bad things, things to be improved, things to be commented, things to be worked on.
